Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of Leader Member excahnge (LMX) and Employee Engagement (EE) on Employee Performance Semarang City Hospital. Knowing the mediating role of motivation in the influence of Leader Member excahnge (LMX) and Employee Engagement (EE) to Performance. This study was conducted at Hospital Semarang in 2016 with a sample of 168 respondents drawn from a purposive sampling technique. In this study include Validity testing techniques by using factor analysis, reliability test with Cronbach alpha formula, multiple regression analysis and significance test and the coefficient of determination. The results of this study prove that Leader Member Exchange (LMX) proved positive effect on the motivation of employees. Employee Engagement (EE) positive effect on employee motivation. Leader Member Exchange (LMX) proved positive influence on employee performance. Employee Engagement (EE) positive effect on the performance of the employment. Employee motivation positive influence on employee performance. Motivation does not give effect to the mediation more effective if there is a direct influence of variables Leader Member Exchange (LMX) on employee performance. Motivation does not give effect to the mediation more effective if there is a direct effect of the variable employee engagement (EE) on employee performance.
