Abstract

This research aim to analyse and test hypothesis about the effect of competency, quality of work life and organizational commitment towards employee performance either through direct and also pass mediation of job satisfaction on staff in the regional secretariat at Tegal Regency. The respondent of this research arestaff in the regional secretariat at Tegal Regency,with minimum education of School Continuation Upstairs and year of service 5 year.The number of respondent on this research is defined 139respondents by using sampling technique which is called census sampling. Technique data collecting with kuesioner with instrument test in the form of validity test and test of reliabilitas. This research used analysis of linear regression model and pearson partial correlation with the help of SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). The result of this research showed that: competency, quality of work life and organizational commitment effect of positif and signifikan towards job satisfaction. Competency, organizational commitment and job satisfactioneffect of positif and signifikan towards employee performance, while quality of work life not effect towards of employee performance. Job satisfaction is mediation of the effect of competency, quality of work life and organizational commitment towards employee performance in the regional secretariat at Tegal Regency. Given suggestion for example: need improvement competency, quality of work life and organizational commitment for improvement employee performance by improving job satisfaction staff in the regional secretariat at Tegal Regency.
