Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of psychological capital and servant leadership to a career plateau with the mediation of job satisfaction the Secretariat employees Batang. In this study were sampled as many as 107 employees at the Secretariat employees Batang. The sampling technique using purposive sampling method with a sample criteria were employess with the lowest high school education and have worked for at least 4 (four) years. Testing techniques using SPSS analysis tools. The specific purpose of this study was to examine and analyze whether job satisfaction plays a role mediating the effect of psychological capital and servant leadership to a career plateau. From the test data and analysis, this study provides empirical evidence as follows: (1) Psychological capital have a positive significant on job satisfaction, so the hypothesis is accepted. (2) servant leadership have a positive significant on job satisfaction, so the hypothesis is accepted. (3) Psychological capital have a positive significant the career plateau, so that hypotheses are rejected. (4) Servant leadership have a negative significant the career plateau, so the hypothesis is accepted. (5) Job satisfaction have a negative significant the career plateau, so the hypothesis is accepted. Job satisfaction mediate the effect of psychological capital to a career plateau. Variable servant leadership to a career plateau has a direct influence is stronger than the indirect effect.
