Abstract

This research paper is about the The Dialect of English Recognized in some Editorials of the on-line Jakarta Post Issued in 2015. This research attempts to find the area and the interlanguage itself which is produced in each sentence in a form of recount text written. Its analysis is based on the grammatical rules. Therefore, this research tries to describe and qualify or explain the phenomena of dialect realized in some editorials of the on-line Jakarta Post downloaded from http:// www.thejakartaposts.com on October 2015. The texts were copied and segmented into sentences, so that they can be analyzed. In this research the data were analyzed using the following steps: (1) Re-reading the segmented data (2) Identifying the occurance of the types English dialect in the segmented data (3) Labelling the segmented data into their categories (4) Classifying the segmented data (5) Tabulating the categorized English dialects into the respective table (6) Interpreting the phenomenon of the English dialects in editorials of the on-line Jakarta Post issued in 2015. The result there are two dialect english found in some editorials of the on-line Jakarta post issued 2015. The dialect is American English and British English, the writer found spelling, preposition, and meaning diffrences into editorials. That the highest frequency is spelling (48.4%), preposition (15.2%), and meaning differences (36.4%). The differences of editorials very significant and tend to the American English.
