Abstract
The study is about the semantics analysis of the lexical items in Debby Sahertian‟s Kamus Gaul. This topic was chosen because the development of the language has big influence in the nation. In this modern era, language is not only used in formal situation but also used in non-formal situation. Thus, the nonformal language as the one of lexical items form has been popular among people. This thesis is to find out the lexical items and the meanings of its based on the Debby Sahertian‟s Kamus Gaul. In this thesis the researcher analyzed the lexical items and meanings based on the Debby Sahertian‟s Kamus Gaul. The data were taken from the 5 count in each alphabet, but if the lexical items in a particular alphabet are less than five items the researcher took one at random. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three kinds of methods of investigation; namely Identification, Interpretation and Classification. The result of this study shows that the data taken from the 5 count in each alphabet based on the Debby Sahertian‟s Kamus Gaul produces 23 words from the all alphabet. This is caused by there are 3 alphabets which do not have words; they are Q, Y and Z. th th
