Abstract
Nowadays there are some companies which use Stock Split as the effort in maintaining and
in improving its trading liquidity. The significance of this study is to analyze the difference
characteristics of company which uses stock split up and company which uses reverse stock
split at the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2010. This research uses the table
method. The result of this research indicates that there is no quite unique differences between
company which uses the stock split and company which uses reverse stock split because in the
low and medium condition, company can take stock split up or reverse stock split. This
condition causes the financial characteristics of companies has no impact on stock split
