Abstract

Follows financial industry categorization, Perusahaan Modal Ventura, also known as Venture Capital, classified as Financial Institution by Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Body. There are fundamental mechanism differences between Venture Capital as we know from theory which has two-tier venture capital with what so-called Perusahaan Modal Ventura which actually only one-tier venture capital. This significant difference leads to disability of Perusahaan Modal Ventura to act whole and complete as Venture Capital. Other significant implication is that Perusahaan Modal Ventura could not classify as Financial Institution.
