Abstract

Woman emancipation is an interesting subject to be discussed for all time. It hap- pened until the modern era. Woman used to be as a sub-ordinate, can not stand side by side with man. In Tuck Everlasting, the struggle of woman to get her rights is clearly described. Through the main character of the script writer tries to show to the readers about the woman emancipation movement and woman’s life in the real world. In writing this thesis, the writer wants to analyze the main character, social condition, and women’s performance as a feminism study. The data and the related literature which support the analysis are got by doing a library research and internet research. The approach of the study which is applied in this thesis is Feminism study. The purpose of this thesis is to describe women emancipation from that era until now. This thesis want to say in this analyze that women against men who always manage them like they want. The writer concludes that the main character in the film is a wise, elegant, and smart personality. She is basically a good character but because of the influence of social condition and the environment of the family, her character a little bit changes to be a rebellious woman.
