Abstract
The study entitled “Morphological Analysis of Words Found in Little Red Riding Hood‟s Fairy Tale”. The study attempts to analyze the derivational and inflectional morphemes found in Little Red Riding Hoods short story. It is proposed to find out the amount of derivational and inflectional morpheme used in Little Red Riding Hood‟s Fairy Tale. Furthermore, the writer attempts to find out the number of derivational and inflectional morphemes in “Little Red Riding Hood‟s fairy tale”, the derivational morpheme used in “Little Red Riding Hood‟s fairy tale”, the inflectional morpheme used in “Little Red Riding Hood‟s fairy tale”, the function of derivational morpheme in “Little Red Riding Hood‟s fairy tale” and the function of derivational morpheme in “Little Red Riding Hood‟s fairy tale”. Then the data are analyzed qualitatively refering to morphological analysis. The data of this research are taken from Little Red Riding Hood short story. Method of data collection is done by reading short story of Little Red Riding Hood‟s, the words and segmenting the data into categories. Then the writer emphasized to find the function and meaning of each derivational and inflectional morphemes in Little Red Riding Hood‟s short story. After analyzing the data, it can be found that there are 13 derivational morphemes (15% ) and 71 inflectional morphemes (85%) in Little Red Riding Hood short story.
