Supervisors : Dr. Sugeng Purwanto, M. A. Keywords : feminism The writer tries to analyze The Spongebob squarepants karate island series. The writer tries to analyze the characterization of Shandy which are caused with feminism,and Shandy's Conflicts and to find out what characterization of shandy's character related with feminism and to analyze Shandy's Conflicts title : Feminism Portrayed in Shandy's character Spongebob squarepants on karate island series. Spongebob Squarepants karate island series tell about a feminist character. Shandy is a woman who tries to show the world that she has good skill to play karate. First people do not believe that Shandy could play karate better than else, but finally Shandy could show to Spongebob and Master udon. Although shandy is a woman she could play karate better than men. The movie implies the moral message to the reader by the Moral Criticism toward the society at the time. woman must have a dream to reach. The method of the study is based on the library research in which the data are taken from books, magazine, internet and watching the movie .The writer sees movie and and tries to analyze what characterization of Shandy' related with feminism and to analyze Shandy's conflicts . In this movie, the writer found that Shandy is a smart character. Shandy is a feminist ,she could play karate better than Spongebob .Shandy shows her skill and she could play karate easily it’s good as an example to all the women in the society.
