Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of working capital policy on corporate performance and impact on the value of the company. Research conducted on manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2013. Variables used as a proxy for working capital policy is Current Assets to Total Assets (CATA) and Current Liabilities to Total Assets (CLTA). This study also uses capital structure as a control variable, a proxy for capital structure is leverage. Variables used as a proxy for the performance of the company is the Return on Assets (ROA), and the value of the company is Tobin's q. Methods of data collection using purposive sampling. The results showed that Current assets to total assets (CATA) has positive effect on corporate performance (ROA) at a significance level of less than 10 percent. Current Liabilities to Total Assets (CLTA) negative effect on corporate performance (ROA) at a significance level of less than 1 percent. Capital structure (leverage) negative effect on corporate performance (ROA) at a significance level of less than 1 percent. While Return on Assets (ROA) negative effect on the value of the company (Tobin's) at the significance level of less than 1 percent.
