Abstract

The purpose of this study examines the effect: 1). The quality of work life on organizational commitment; 2). Transformational leadership on organizational commitment; 3). The quality of work life on performance; 4). Transformational leadership on performance, 5). Organizational commitment to performance. 6). Mediating effect influence on the performance quality of working life; 7). The mediating effect of transformational leadership influence on performance. This research was conducted with a purposive sampling method, with a total sample of 115 educators Semarang Police Academy. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression, and path analysis. Based on hypothesis testing and the test result that the mediating effect: 1). The quality of work life is not significant positive effect on organizational commitment; 2). Transformational leadership and significant positive effect on organizational commitment; 3). The quality of working life and significant positive effect on performance; 4). Transformational leadership and significant positive effect on performance; 5). Organizational commitment but not significant positive effect on performance; 6). Organizational commitment is not a variable that mediates between the quality of work life influence on performance; 7). Organizational commitment is not a variable that mediates the influence of transformational leadership on performance. Efforts to improve the performance of educators, particularly in the use of media as well as choosing appropriate learning techniques, to those who have never attended Applied Approach (AA) and Pakerti, can soon participate in the program in cooperation with the Institute organizers. Also, build komonikasi three directions (three way traffight), and developed a brainstorming forum involving all stakeholders.
