Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of employee engagement and empowerment on government officialsMargorejovillageperformancemediated by motivation. This research was conducted with a census method and implemented in government officialsMargorejovillage. Technical test data used in this study include validitas test, reliability test, multiple regression analysis, t test, and mediation test to verify and prove the hypothesis of the research. Tested the validity of data collected by viewing at the magnitude of the KMO values and the loading factors could be declared valid. The validity of the test results show the value of KMO for employee engagement, empowerment, motivation and performance are above KMO required . It can be said that all variables declared valid. Reliability test result showemployee engagement, empowerment, motivation and performance are above the cronbach’s alpha required. These show that all variables are reliable. From the analysis and discussion showthat a significant positive influence employee engagement on motivation, significantly positive effect of empowerment on motivation, employee engagement is a significant positive effect on performance, empowerment does not effect on performance and motivation significantly positive effect on performance. Strong influence of employee engagement is directly compared to the performance through the mediation of motivation. Motivation mediate the effect of empowerment on performance.
