Abstract

This study aims to examine and analysis the role of the principal leadership in moderating the influence of motivation and work discipline on the teacher’s performance that takes an object of elementary school teachers in Kandeman district Batang Regency. The data were obtained by distributing 144 questionnairs. But only 140 are processed because 4 questionnairs were not returned by the respondent. Testing data technique which is used in this study include validity test by factor analysis, reliability test by Cronbach alpha formula, normality test, hyteroskedastisitas test and significance tests, the coeffisien of determination to prove the hypothesis and moderation regression analysis. The result of this study states that : (1) The variables of motivation has positive and significant effect on the teacher’s performance. (2) The variables of discipline has not positive significant effect on the teacher’s performance. (3) The Principal’s leadership has positive and significant effect of teacher’s performance. (4) The Principal’s leadership can decrease work motivation on the teacher’s performance. (5) The principal’s leadership can’t moderation to discipline on the teacher’s performance.
