Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of professional competence and work motivation on teacher performance moderated by transformational leadership style. The specific purpose of this study was to examine the transformational leadership style moderates the influence of professional competence and work motivation on teacher performance at junior high school in Wedarijaksa of Pati Regency. The usefulness of this research is to explain and expand previous studies on the transformational leadership style moderates the influence of professional competence and work motivation on teacher's performance. This research uses populations of State Junior School teacher in District Wedarijaksa of Pati Regency as many as 105 teachers. The analysis technique used multiple linear regression model with quasi moderation. The results showed that; professional competence affects the performance of teachers, work motivation affects the performance of teachers, transformational leadership style affects the performance of teachers, transformational leadership style strengthens the influence of professional competence on teacher's performance, transformational leadership style strengthens the influence of work motivation on teacher's performance.
