Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of personality and job characteristics on the job performance with organizational commitment as mediator in Rembang district education offices. This study use cencuss methods for collecting data, using statistical tests that include validity test with factor analysis, reliability test using Cronbach's alpha, double regression analysis, and significance test using the coefficient of determination to prove the validity of hypothesis and for mediation tests. The results of this study proved that model’s ability to correctly describe that the influence of personality, job characteristic, and organizational commitment is 97,3% on job performance. While the 2.7% others is explained by variables outside the model. From the test results of the mediating effect can be seen that organizational commitment became the mediator of the influence of all independence variable to dependence variabel.
