Abstract
Rahayuni, Devi. 2016. The Code Switching in Hitam Putih Talk Show Episode Cinta Laura and Vidi Aldiano. A Thesis, English Departement, Undgraduate Program of Stikubank University Semarang: J. Sutomo, DRS, M.M. This research examines the codes selected in Hitam Putih Talk Show Episode Cinta Laura and Vidi Aldiano. The data of the study were taken by recording the Hitam Putih Talk Show, which were then alayzed on the based of code switching theory. The result shows that there are four hundred and ninety six (496) code being switched by the host and judge of the Hitam Putih Talk Show. Intersential code switching (22.18%), intrasential code switching (36.09%), internal code switching (3.02%), tag switching (31.25%), situational code switching (7.46%). There are one hundred and eighty six (186) code switching of Indonesia to English and twelve (12) code switching of Indonesia to Javanese. The code switching is the highest frequency that occurs as the host Daddy Corbuzier frequent code switching in the single sentence because Daddy Corbuzier as a the host speak adjust guest star Cinta Laura that live in bilingual environment and she usually speak in two language, that is Indonesia and English.
