Abstract
This thesis presents “The Big Dream of Remy In Brad Bird’s Ratatouille movie: As a Reader Response Study”. The story tells about a rat, named Remy that is smart cook and loyal with his friend, Linguini. The aim of this thesis is to find out the characteristics of the main character, Remy to find hisway to realize his big dream. The writer analyzes big dream of the main character from the Ratatouille movie. This study applies reader response theory and needs the response from other readers and the writer’s response. Reader response theory is the literary work relies by the reader’s interpretation by the text. The response of the readers in the literary work in exactly the same way but their response may have the same meaning. Ratatouille movie is one of the Pixar productions from Brad Bird. The characters of Remy are intelligent, unique, smart, strong hearted and good spirit to realize his big dream. Remy shows that he has a big dream, he must realize in his way.
