Abstract
researc paper a me at ana yz ng t e orga zat on turn y employing turn construction unit, turn allocation unit, turn taking strategy that are used by the main characters in their dialogues. The results of the study indicate that construction units that consist of a single lexical item are as many as 84 units, a phrase is as many as 22 units, a clause is as many as 3 units and a sentence is as many as 461 units. The allocation units consisting of current speaker selects next speaker: 1a, selects a different speaker is as many as 130 units, 1b) Current speaker select next speaker (1b = select self) is as many as 398 units and next speaker self selects is as many as 42 units. The turn taking strategiy consists of taking the turn, holding the turn and yielding the turn. Through the analysis, the writer found out that taking the turn had the highest occurrence. In addition, there were 570 units of dialogues. It described speaker frequency in taking the turns, they are Gerald (G) as many as 325 units, Prissy (P) as many as 245 units.
