Farida, Khansa Dita. 2017. Illocutionary Acts Performed by the Main Characters of Babak Najafi‘s ―London Has Fallen‖ Movie. A research paper, English Department, Undergraduate Program of Stikubank University, Semarang. Supervisor: Drs. Liliek Soepriatmadji, M.Pd This research paper entitled Illocutionary Acts Performed by the Main Characters of Babak Najafi‘s ―London Has Fallen‖ Movie is aimed to find out the types of Illocutionary Acts which the main characters produce in the dialogues and to describe the speech functions that the main characters express in the ―London Has Fallen‖ movie. The study is designed in descriptive qualitative research. The analysis is based on the theory of illocutionary acts by Austin (1962) and Searle (1975); and the speech functions by Schiffin (1994). The types of illocutionary acts which dominates is assertive and the less dominate is declaration. Meanwhile the speech functions which frequently appears the most is statement and the least is offer.
