Abstract
The final project is entitle The Analysis of Derivational and Inflectional Morphemes in Short Story By Edgar Allan Poe ―The Murders In The Rue Morgue‖ . The aim of this research is to find out the derivational and inflectional morphemes found in the short story by Edgar Allan Poe . In this research paper , the writer uses descriptive and qualitative method . The writer found 100 words , 34% for derivational and 66 % inflectional morphemes in The Short Story ―The Murders In The Rue Morgue‖ .
