Abstract
This research paper entitled ―ILLOCUTIONARYACTS FOUND IN ―ANTHONYJOSHUA VS JOSEPH PARKER‖ FINAL PRESS CONFERENCEBROADCAST ON SKY SPORT IN MARCH 2018.‖ is aimed to find out the types of Illocutionary Acts which the speakers produced in the press conference and to describe the speech functions that the speakers expressed in the ―ANTHONYJOSHUA VS JOSEPH PARKER‖ FINAL PRESS CONFERENCEBROADCAST ON SKY SPORT IN MARCH 2018.‖ The study is designed in descriptive qualitative research. The analysis is based on the theory of Illocutionary Acts proposed by Austin (1962) and Searle (1969); and the speech act which was mostly used by the speakers is assertive and the least is declaration. Meanwhile the speech function which mostly appears is statement and the least is offer.
