Abstract
This research paper entitled Speech Acts and Speech Functions Produced In The Email Exchanges in Aston Hotel Semarang in September 2018 is aimed to find out the types of Speech act and Speech functions in the guest‟s email. The study is designed in descriptive qualitative research. The types of illocutionary acts which dominate are assertive and the less dominate is declaration. Meanwhile the speech functions which frequently appear the most are statement and the least is question.
