Abstract

Current inventory technology is one of the important aspects in manufacturing companies to make the process of mutating transactions of goods entering and leaving both local and imported become easier, more efficient and also controlled. The rapid development of inventory causes the need for an inventory system and methods that can improve the smooth flow of goods and also in licensing that occurs in companies that get bonded zone facilities. The purpose of this study is to create an inventory system using the FIFO method that can simplify administrative performance in the warehouse and export-import sections. The results obtained from this study are expected to reduce the risk of loss in the calculation of the Cost of Goods Sold calculation and facilitate the recording of inventory stock of materials based on the date of first entering the warehouse. The selection of the use of the FIFO method in the bonded zone inventory system is considered the most appropriate because with the use of the FIFO method, the results of mutations in raw material transactions are obtained until the finished goods become more efficient and controlled. This is based on the recording of material stock inventories based on the date of first entering the warehouse to later be the first material processed in production.
