Abstract
Perpustakaan adalah sebuah ruangan atau gedung yang digunakan untuk menyimpan buku dan terbitan lainya yang biasanya disimpan menurut tata letak dan susunan tertentu untuk digunakan oleh pembaca dan bukan untuk dijual. Petugas perpustakaan juga bertugas untuk mencarikan buku jika ada anggota perpustakaan yang kesulitan mencari buku yang ingin dipinjam. Perpustakaan yang memiliki banyak koleksi buku akan kesulitan dalam mencari buku dan membutuhkan waktu yang lama jika pencarian buku masih dilakukan secara manual karena harus mencari satu per satu di rak buku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan algoritma Cosine Similarity yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari sinopsis buku dari kata kunci dan kategori buku yang dicari. Proses pencarian sinopsis buku dengan kategori buku novel dan kata kunci kampus pejuang subuh didapatkan 3 buku dengan judul ketika cinta bertasbih, lembata dan pejuang subuh. Hasil similaritas Cosine Similarity dari masing-masing buku yaitu cinta bertasbih dengan similaritas 0,6785, lembata dengan similaritas 0,2815 dan pejuang subuh dengan similaritas 0,7346, sehingga buku yang direkomendasikan adalah pejuang subuh dengan nilai similaritas yaitu 0,7346. Abstract A library is a room or building that is used to store books and other publications that can be stored according to a specific layout and arrangement for use by readers and not for sale. Library officers also try to find books if there are library members who have difficulty finding books to borrow. A library that has a large collection of books will have difficulty in finding books and it takes a long time to find a book is still done manually because they have to search one by one on a bookshelf. This research tries to use Cosine algorithm. Similarities that can be used to find a synopsis of a book of keywords and book categories are searched The process of finding a synopsis of books with the category of novel books and campus warriors' keywords was obtained by 3 books with the title compilation of love glorification, institution and dawn fighters. Cosine similarity results from each book are love glorifying with similarity of 0.6785, institution with similarity of 0.2815 and dawn fighters with similarity of 0.7346, so the book in question is dawn warriors with similarity value of 0.7346.
