Abstract
Many researchers argue that globalization has reduced the role of domestic factors and improved global economic role in determining inflation. To prove the truth of the premise, the research was conducted in Indonesia. The results show, there is a significant effect of the domestic output gap on inflation in the crisis of 1998 and prior to the crisisand the period after the crisis of 1998.However, the sensitivity of inflation to domestic output gap has decreased.While, the foreign output gap in the period of the 1998 crisis and prior to the crisis was not significant. In the period after the 1998 crisis and after the crisis of 2008, foreign output gap was significant. Thus, in the period after the 2008 crisis, only significant foreign output gap, while the domestic output gap was not significant.
