Abstract
Ketersediaan jumlah kos yang kadang tidak sebanding dengan jumlah pencari kos, membuat para pencari kos harus mencari informasi lebih cepat agar mendapatkan tempat kos yang sesuai keinginan. Cara yang biasa dilakukan masyarakat dalam mencari kos adalah bertanya pada warga sekitar atau dari kenalan-kenalan yang ada di Semarang. Hal itu tentu saja akan menyita banyak waktu. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan adanya suatu sistem yang dapat mencari saran rekomendasi tempat kos didaerah Semarang dengan menggunakan metode collaborative filtering untuk mengetahui rekomendasi pada tempat kos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem yang dapat mencari tempat kos berdasarkan pemberian rating dengan menggunakan metode collaborative filtering. Metode collaborative filtering yang digunakan adalah user based collaborative filtering yaitu rekomendasi berdasarkan rating pengguna lain yang memiliki kesukaan yang sama dengan pengguna. Sistem pencarian kos-kosan di Semarang dapat digunakan untuk menampilkan lokasi pengguna saat ini menggunakan teknologi Location Based Service dan menampilkan 5 rekomendasi tempat kos di Semarang menggunakan metode collaborative filtering berdasarkan pemberian rating dari pengguna lain The availability of boarding houses is sometimes not comparable to the number of boarders, making the boarders have to find information faster in order to get the boarding house as desired. The usual way for people to look for boarding houses is to ask residents around or from acquaintances in Semarang. That of course will take up a lot of time. To overcome these problems, a system that can seek recommendations for a boarding house in Semarang is needed by using a collaborative filtering method to find recommendations for boarding houses. Thisxi study aims to create a system that can search for boarding houses based on rating using the collaborative filtering method. The collaborative filtering method used is user based collaborative filtering, which is a recommendation based on the rating of other users who have the same preferences as the user. The boarding house search system in Semarang can be used to display the user's current location using Location Based Service technology and display 5 boarding house recommendations in Semarang using a collaborative filtering method based on rating from other users
