Abstract

Dinas Kearsipan dan perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah suatu instansi pemerintahan yang menjadi pusat pengelolaan buku dan arsip yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. pelajar dan mahasiswa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan literasi yang diperlukan atau untuk sekedar membaca buku. Namun, seringkali buku yang diperlukan oleh mahasiswa persediaannya terbatas dan terkadang statusnya masih dipinjam. Untuk mengelompokkan buku yang sering dipinjam agar pihak perpustakaan dapat lebih efektif dalam menambahkan koleksi buku yang ada pada perputakaan dapat menggunakan metode Single Linkage dan Complete Linkage pada Agglomerative Hierarchial Clustering (AHC). Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk metode Single Linkage menggunakan data sebanyak 1890 data dengan cluster 1 sebanyak 1840 data, cluster 2 sebanyak 34 data, dan cluster 3 sebanyak 16 data. Untuk metode Complete Linkage menggunakan 1890 data dengan hasil cluster 1 sebanyak 1592 data, cluster 2 sebanyak 248 data, dan cluster 3 sebanyak 3 data. Dari hasil yang didapat tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa atribut pekerjaan yang mendominasi adalah mahasiswa dan atribut kategori buku yang mendominasi adalah Ilmu Umum, sehingga pihak perpustakaan dapat menambahkan koleksi Ilmu Umum dan mengurangi koleksi dengan kategori Fiksi. Archives and Libraries of Central Java Province is a government agency that manages books and archives in Central Java Province. Students and colleges to meet the necessary literacy needs or just read books. However, often the books needed by students are in limited supply, and sometimes they are still on borrow. To classify books that are often borrowed so that the library can be more effective in adding a collection of books to the library, it can use the Single Linkage and Complete Linkage in methods Agglomerative Hierarchial Clustering (AHC). The results obtained in this study are the method single linkage using data as much as 1890 data with cluster 1 is 1840 data, cluster 2 is 34 data, and cluster 3 is 16 data. For the method Complete Linkage using 1890 data with the results of cluster 1 is 1592 data, cluster 2 of 248 data, and cluster 3 of 3 data. From the results, it can be obtained that the dominant occupational attribute is colleges, and the dominant attribute of the book category is General Science, so that the library can add to the General Science collection and reduce the collection with the Fiction category.
