Abstract

The research attemps to analyze children psychology in the rebellion to get acceptance by his natural life in “the Adventure of Huckleberry Finn” novel. The writer has three research questions. They are (1) How is Huck Finn characterized? (2) What are Huckleberry Finn‟s rebellion aspects? (3) What is the influence of rebellion upon the Huckleberry Finn‟s psychology? Library research is used to collect data from many sources related to the analysis. There are two approaches used to analyze the psychology of main character using the structural and psychological approach to find out the rebellion aspect in Huckleberry Finn especially in searching the self identity. The novel of “The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn” was getting in fiction book published by Random House, Inc in 1997. The collected data was analyzed on the basis of Sigmund Freud 1900‟s The General Introduction of Psychoanalysis on mental processes laid the foundation for all psychodynamic theories on children personality to find out the mental development of children personality and experiences in changing personality on adolescence. The condition is narrated by Twain in The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn as reflection of psychology condition in changing character in Huck Finn growing in maturation. The children psychology not only formed from the family but around the people.
