Abstract
Helm merupakan perlengkapan kendaraan bermotor yang berfungsi untuk melindungi kepala dari benturan. Banyaknya pengendara yang mengabaikan penggunaan helm, angka pelanggaran serta kecelakaan pengendara sepeda motor cukup tinggi. Badan Pusat Statistik mencatat jumlah korban jiwa yang terjadi akibat kecelakaan kendaraan sepeda motor di Indonesia di tahun 2019 sekitar 5.903 korban jiwa. Tingginya angka kematian tersebut dikarenakan pengendara yang tidak menggunakan kelengkapan berkendara seperti helm. Untuk mendeteksi apakah pengendara sepeda motor yang menggunakan helm dapat mengurangi jumlah pelanggar untuk memprediksi jumlah kematian dalam kecelakaan lalu lintas. Data yang akan dideteksi diambil dari CCTV Dishub. Gambar digunakan sistem untuk melakukan deteksi pemakaian helm menggunakan metode You Only Look Once (YOLO), lalu sistem mendeteksi pengendara sepeda motor yang memakai helm dan pengendara yang tidak memakai helm. Dirancangnya sistem pendeteksi penggunaan helm ini, diharapkan sistem dapat mendeteksi pengendara yang tidak menggunakan helm dan dapat menambah kesadaran pengendara untuk menggunakan helm saat berkendara. Helmet is a motor vehicle equipment that serves to protect the head from impact. The number of motorists who ignore the use of helmets, the number of violations and accidents of motorcyclists is quite high. The Central Statistics Agency recorded the number of fatalities that occurred due to motorcycle vehicle accidents in Indonesia in 2019 of around 5,903 fatalities. The high death rate is due to drivers who do not use driving equipment such as helmets. To detect whether motorcycle riders who use helmets can reduce the number of violators to predict the number of deaths in traffic accidents. The data to be detected is taken from the CCTV Dishub. The image is used by the system to detect helmet use using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) method, then the system detects motorcycle riders who wear helmets and riders who do not wear helmets. With the design of this helmet detection system, it is hoped that the system can detect riders who are not wearing helmets and can increase rider awareness to use helmets when driving.
