This condition can be used for research using error analysis theory. This study used qualitative method with the aims to describe the kinds of error and the most common type of error made by students in their sixth semester at FBIB. The result of this study found that: the most errors made by the sixth semester students involved Language Transfer (77,15%). This means that the majority of the errors were of language positive transfer occurs when both the native language and English have the same form or linguistic feature. It makes learning easier and does not result in errors. The reason of students’ mistakes were carelessness and target language. It can be concluded mostly the students’ mistakes in writing recount text was caused by target language, and carelessness. However, taking more precautions to always fix students’ errors while learning English will be the good way to reduce students’ errors.
