Abstract
The title of the thesis is A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF COMPARISON DEGREE IN ENGLISH AND ARABIC. This thesis is about the comparative study of comparison degree in English and Arabic. This thesis compares the English and Arabic comparison form. The aim of this thesis is to give some information for the language learner and to find out the similarities and differences between English and Arabic Comparison degree. This thesis, discusses further an English and Arabic comparison and makes positive, comparative and superlative in English and Arabic. The method used in this thesis is contrastive analysis data to finds out the differences and similarities of comparison degree in English and Arabic. This thesis, explains the differences and similarities of comparison sentences both in English and Arabic. In addition, this thesis informs that English and Arabic have similarities and differences form of comparison in sentences. This thesis has some conclusions, those are the comparison degree in English has three part positive, comparative and superlative than in Arabic one part namely Isimtafdzil or Af’aluttafdzil.
