Abstract
The aim of this research was to obtain empirical evidence on the factors that influence total amount of banking lending. There were many factors that can influence the total amount of bank lending. In this research the factors that became the independent variables were Third Party Funds, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan, Return On Assets, Loan to Deposit Ratio and Credit Interest Rate. Meanwhile the factor that became the dependent variable was the Total Amount of Bank Lending. In order to find data then the study used banks that were listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as sample in the period among 2002-2011. Data was collected by purposive sampling method. There were only 15 banks that fulfilled the criteria. Those became the sample in this study. Then data were analysed by multiple linear regression. The method needed normality testing, autocorrelation testing, multicollinearity testing and heteroscedasticity testing. The result showed that simultaneously the Third Party Funds, the Capital Adequacy Ratio, the Non Performing Loan, the Return On Assets, the Loan to Deposit Ratio and the credit interest rate had significant effect on the Total Amount of Banking Lending. Being of the partial test result that the value of the Third Party Funds, the Return On Assets and the Loan to Deposit Ratio had positive and significant effect on Total Amount of Banking Lending. The Capital Adequacy Ratio had negative and significant effect on the Total Amount of Banking Lending. While NPL and Credit Interest Rate had unsignificant effect on Total Amount of Bank Lending.
