Abstract
Pemerintah menetapkan batas usia perkawinan yaitu 19 tahun untuk pria dan wanita di dalam pasal 7 undang – undang No 16 Tahun 2019 perubahan atas Undang – undang No 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengetahui efektivitas batas usia menikah menurut undang – undang No 16 Tahun 2019 di KUA Bantarbolang serta mengetahui dari pendapat masyarakat Bantarbolang mengenai batas usai menikah menurut undang – undang dan upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah dalam pencegahan pernakahan dini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian yuridis sosiologis, yaitu penelitian yang tujuan nya mengkaji ketentuan hukum yang berlaku dan apa yang terjadi di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder sebagai data awalnya yaitu undang – undang No 16 Tahun 2019 dan dilanjutkan menggunakan data primer ialah wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa KUA Bantarbolang telah berhasil menurunkan angka pernikahan dini walaupun belum cukup efektif . pendapat masyarakat Bantarbolang mengenai batas usia menikah dikatakan setuju adanya pembaruan batas usia perkawinan 19 tahun untuk pria dan wanita dan dalam upaya pemerintah dalam pencegahan pernikahan dini yaitu dengan cara sosilisasi dengan berbagai program seperti bimbingan perkawinan, program pendampingan, program stop kawin anak, dan program ayok sekolah lagi. The government sets a marriage age limit of 19 years for men and women in Article 7 of Law No. 16 of 2019 amendments to Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. This writing aims to find out the effectiveness of the age limit for marriage according to law No. 16 of 2019 at KUA Bantarbolang and to find out from the opinions of the Bantarbolang people regarding the limit after marriage according to the law and the efforts made by the government in preventing early marriage. This type of research is a sociological juridical research, namely research whose purpose is to examine the applicable legal provisions and what is happening in society. This study uses secondary data as the initial data, namely Law No. 16 of 2019 and continues to use primary data, namely interviews. The result of this research is that KUA Bantarbolang has succeeded in reducing the number of early marriages although it is not yet effective enough . The opinion of the Bantarbolang community regarding the age limit for marriage is said to agree with the renewal of the marriage age limit of 19 years for men and women and in the government's efforts to prevent early marriage, namely by means of socialization with various programs such as marriage guidance, mentoring programs, stop child marriage programs, and come on programs. school again.
