Abstract

Rice is the staple food for most of the world's population. One of the factors that causes rice productivity to decline is rice plant disease, disease can be detected by the symptoms that arise to know more precisely what is happening in rice plants must reguire an expert or called dbkpert. Meanwhile, the number of experts is limited and cannot solve farmers' problems simultaneously. So we need asystem that can help farmers in overcoming rice diseases. Where in this system there are several Ehes of diseases, symptoms, and solutions. This research was made an Expert System for Diagnosing Rice Diseases Using the Fuzzy Case Based Reasoning (CBR) method in order to assist farmers in overcoming the problem of rice disease. Fuzzy is used to determine a weight for rice disease, and the weight has 3 criteria, namely low, medium, and high. While Case Based Reasoning is used to determine the similarity value of old cases with new cases, the identification process is carried out by inputting new cases whose contents are about symptoms and then calculating the similarity value by comparing old cases with new cases.
