Abstract
Word search is a part of Information Retrieval, one of the models is Vector space model. VSM has effectiveness in word search because the search results are based on similarity of vectorquery and document vector. This study implements the VSM Algorithm in stages: preproccessing text using 4 stages, weighting terms using the TF-IDF method, and ranking using the Cosine Similarity method, testing the system with Recall & Precision
