Abstract
The objectives of this research to analize the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Operation Efficiency (BOPO) to Return On Asset (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE) wich is as a proxy of Earning. The data used in this study are listed banking companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange-year period 2008-2010. After passing through the stage of purposive sampling, the sample is feasible to use as many as 25 banking companies listed on the Stock Exchange. The method used in this study is to use multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis that the t test and F test. Before using multiple regression analysis, the assumptions of classical test done first. From the results of simultan hypothesis tests (F test) showed that the CAR, NPL, DER, LDR, and BOPO have a positive and significant impact on ROA while CAR, NPL, DER, LDR, and BOPO positive and significant effect on ROE. Based on the partial results of hypothesis testing (t test) on the banks listed on the Stock Exchange showed that the variable CAR, DER, LDR, and BOPO significant effect on ROA, while the NPL variable ROA is not significant in addition, CAR, NPL, DER, LDR and BOPO significant effect on ROE.
