Abstract

In an economic development must have expected better economic growth. With this active role of the national banking system and capital needed to support investments made by parties who need funds. his is where the banking function as a liaison agency between the parties that the excess funds to those who lack funds. This research is motivated by the phenomenon has not been optimal bank lending. This is evidenced by loan growth varies. Therefore need to be tested about the factors that affect lending. In this study takes three variables: Third Party Fund (TPF), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Interest Rate. This study used Banks as a whole as an object of research, the research period of 2005-2009. The analytical method used is the method of multiple linear regression, partial test of significance by t-test Based on the research result that the Third Party Funds (TPF) has positive and significant impact on bank lending. Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) has positive and not significant to the lending banks. Meanwhile, the Interest Rate and not significant negative effect on bank lending. Increase commercial bank lending should perform optimally fund raising, to optimize the use of financial resources (capital) owned, and set interest rates in accordance with Bank Indonesia to do credit to the optimal distribution. )
