Abstract
This research analyzes the gender discrimination experienced by the main character in the Mulan Movie, and her efforts in fighting for gender justice and equality. This research focuses on Mulan, the main character in the movie. The movie shows the culture and actions that discriminate against women, not only Mulan, but also all women in the country. This research uses Mary Wollstonecraft's theory of feminism. This research explores how gender discrimination occurs, and how Hua Mulan struggles to gain equality with her efforts and proof with her talents. This research reveals that gender discrimination can harm various parties, especially women. Mulan's struggle proves that women deserve the same rights as men, that one's talent is not determined by gender. This research was made to understand the importance of gender equality in real life and can be understood through the Mulan Movie.
