Abstract
This paper examines whether financial development and openness to international
trade can play an important role to increase Indonesian economic growth for 1990-2010.
The methode of analyze that implemented are ; Granger Causality, Cointegration test with
Engle and Granger approach, and unit root test with Augmented Dickey Fuller test. This
research shows that in long run, there is dynamic relationship between financial
development, openness to international trade and economic growth in Indonesian.
Meanwhile on the short run, there is bi directional or feedback causality between
economic growth and financial development. Besides that on the short run, there is oneway
causality that running from domestic credit as a percentage of GDP to trade openness
in Indonesia.
