Abstract

The development of economy in the world influences the level of prosperity. Economic matter of a nation managed by appropriate system will produce positive impact to that nation. There are two kinds of branches in economic discipline, macro economic and micro economic. In macro economic, money functions as tool of exchange upon item and service. The value of money causes the importance of nominal price since there are two different values, the nominal of money and buying capacity. In Islamic macro economic, the difference between Islamic economic concept and conventional economic concept is on the concept of demand utility and surplus production concept. In Islamic economy system, the concept of money is clearly defined. Money is tool of exchange in Muamalah, not capital or commodity. Dinar and Dirham are kinds of stable transaction and exchange tools. The stability of dinar and dirham is admitted by the country. For example, when America used gold standardized money in 1879, inflation level decreased drastically similar to the inflation level in 1861. This research is descriptive qualitative. The researcher searched information about dinar and dirham to Wakala Induk Nusantara Company for feasibility study. Then, the result of feasibility study was analyzed. The purposes of this research are (1) to examine the feasibility of dinar and dirham as currency of muamalah transaction, (2) to analyze the value of dinar and dirham if they are used as Indonesian currency.
