Abstract
This study attempts to construe (1) the textual meaning of 3 hits songs in the7th Bon Jovi‟s album entitled “Crush” and (2) mode of the discourse found in 3 hits songs in the 7th Bon Jovi‟s album entitled “Crush.” Researcher then found total 142 clauses from those songs, and segmenting it into theme rheme segmentation. When analyzing, researcher found that unmarked topical theme appears dominantly in every songs. In Thank You For Loving Me, researcher found 34 or 59.7% from total 57 clauses, with you and I appear the most frequent. In It‟s my life, researcher found 54 or 72% from total 75 clauses, with it and this appear the most. In Say It Isn‟t So, researcher found 49 or 96% from total 51 clauses, with I, you, we, and it appears in most of the clauses.
