Abstract
Problem of trajectory balance in the production process flow of PT. Asia Pacific Fibers are still ofthen ignored. At this time PT. Asia Pacific Fibers does not meet the maximum production target, this is due to differences in production output at each work station resulting in a buildup of work material. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to measure the working time of each thread production operation in the packing department by using a stop watch. The method used in solving these probems are rangked positional weight and killbridge wester methods, rangked positional weight and killbridge wester methods are methods that depend on the weight of the position of each operation which is stated in the amount of the time the operation is searched for plus the time from operation follow it. Killbridge wester method is a method that depends on the division of regions based on operation that precede the precendence diagram where operations are not interdependent. The calculation result optained a decrease in operator idle time of 54,1% and increase in the value of system efficience by 36,83%, and the number of work stations to 12 from 19 stations. By using this method can reduce the balance delay, increase the efficiency of the system and the number of work stations reduced.
