Abstract
This research paper entitled “Error Analysis in Using Prepositions Applied in Abstract Written by FBIB Students of Unisbank of Academic Year 2016/2017”. The objectives of the study are to find what are the dominant errors which students made in using prepositions and to find why the students committed errors. The data were analyzed based on Rod Elis theory. This research focused on Grammatical Errors in using Prepositions. The Researcher discussed the data using descriptive explanation that means the data explained descriptively. The Researcher has several steps to analyze the data, namely : Identification, Classification, and Interpretation. In analyzing the data, the researcher found no error which students have made, instead of found the error, the researcher only found some mistakes that FBIB students produced.. The researcher did not find any reasons why they commit errors, it means that the students have good skills and comprehended the Grammar especially in using prepositions.
