Abstract
Sistem pendidikan berbasis pondok pesantren merupakan salah satu alternatif yang digunakan di Indonesia guna menentukan pendidikan yang tepat. Pondok pesantren (ponpes) adalah lembaga pendidikan dan dakwah serta lembaga kemasyarakatan yang menyeimbangkan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum. Pendidikan Islam atau ilmu agama tentu memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk membentuk generasi “Khairu Ummah” yang artinya adalah beriman dan bertaqwa, dewasa dalam bersikap, mandiri, memiliki jiwa kreatif, dinamis dan berakhlak karimah. Kebutuhan pemilihan ponpes berdasarkan jenis dan kriteria sistem pendidikan suatu ponpes sangat diperlukan oleh masyarakat yang mau memasukkan putra putrinya ke ponpes yang tepat sesuai dengan keinginan. Untuk itu perlu adanya pengelompokan data dengan cara dicluster/ dikelompokkan menggunakan metode k-means clustering, yaitu pengelompokan data dengan sistem partisi berdasarkan kriteria sistem pendidikan di suatu ponpes. Informasi tentang ponpes sesuai dengan jenis dan kriteria sistem pendidikan ponpes akan sangat membantu bila bisa divisualisasikan berdasarkan lokasi ponpes berbantuan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Karena mengetahui titik lokasi suatu pondok pesantren di permukaan bumi untuk penunjang kegiatan sehari-hari meliputi sarana dan prasaran di sekitar ponpes. Abstrac Islamic boarding school-based education system is one alternative used in Indonesia to determine the right education. Islamic boarding schools are educational and religious institutions and social institutions that balance religion and general science. Islamic education or religious knowledge certainly has a goal that is to form a generation of "Khairu Ummah" which means that is faithful and devoted, mature in attitude, independent, have a creative, dynamic and morality. The need to select Islamic Boarding Schools based on the type and criteria of the education system of Islamic Boarding Schools is very much needed by the people who want to enter their sons and daughters into the right boarding school according to their wishes. For this reason, it is necessary to group data by clustering / grouping using the k-means clustering method, which is grouping data by partitioning system based on the education system criteria in a school. Information about Islamic boarding schools in accordance with the types and criteria of the Islamic Boarding School system would be very helpful if it could be visualized based on the location of Islamic Boarding Schools assisted by Geographic Information System (GIS). Because knowing the location of a boarding school on the surface of the earth to support daily activities include facilities and infrastructure around the boarding school.
