Abstract

This research paper analyzes the Black Feminist Study thath are found “The Help” Movie (2011) by Tate Taylor. This paper focus on a phenomenon of postcolonial in Jackson, Mississipi. The approach that the researcher to collect the data by using a qualitative approach which collected by using descriptive methode. The technique with collect the data are the researcher will download the movie, and the movie script, after that the researcher will observe the movie, beacuse this study is about black feminist. The researcher will identifying the theory of black feminist. The unit of analyze that the researcher will use in the character’s of dialogue or movie script. After that, finding how Afro American maids with white people work together as a team to against the society in Jackson, Mississipi. The researcher found three character’s socially positioned, especially from “The Help” movie namely Eugenia Skeeter Phelan, Aibileen Clark, and Minny Jackson. The conclusion from every statement of the problem, the reason of Aibileen wants to complete the book, the way to help Afro Americans maids and the reason of Skeeter against the society
