Abstract
Penelitian yang dilakukan pada Satuan kerja Pelaksana Permukiman Wilayah II Jawa Tengah, menunjukan bahwa tata kelola persuratan belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan masih bersifat manual sehingga tidak terkelola dengan baik, pengarsipan surat juga kurang diperhatikan sehingga sering kali terjadi ada surat yang hilang dan surat itu berisi informasi penting. Abstract Research conducted at the Regional Settlement Implementing Unit II in Central Java, shows that correspondence management is not optimal. This is because it is still manual so it is not well managed, archiving of letters is also lacking in attention so that often there are letters that are missing and the letter contains important information. The problem of managing mail that is not optimal is expected to be overcome by an adequate web-based mail management information system, so that mail management can be organized so that it becomes an appropriate source of information. This information system was created to improve the management of letters in the Work Unit for the Implementation of Settlements of Region II of Central Java, so as to be effective and efficient at the time of its implementation. Masalah pengelolaan surat yang belum optimal ini diharapkan bisa teratasi dengan sebuah sistem informasi pengelolaan surat berbasis web yang memadai, agar pengelolaan surat dapat tertata baik sehingga menjadi sumber informasi yang tepat. Sistem infomasi ini dibuat untuk meningkatkan pengeloalaan surat pada Satuan kerja Pelaksana Permukiman Wilayah II Jawa Tengah, agar dapat berjalan efektivitas dan efisiensi pada saat pelaksanaannya.
