Abstract

Pusat karir pada perguruan tinggi berfungsi menjembatani kebutuhan informasi dunia kerja yang diperlukan oleh perguruan tinggi. Perguruan tinggi harus dapat memfasilitasi apa yang diperlukan dunia kerja dengan keahlian khusus yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa agar menjadi lulusan yang mampu masuk ke dunia kerja dengan cepat. Saat ini STIKES Telogorejo belum mempunyai suatu media penyampaian informasi tersendiri dimana alumni dapat mencari informasi lowongan pekerjaan dan memilih jenis pekerjaan yang sesuai dengan bakat, minat dan kemampuanya, selain itu juga pengguna tenaga kerja belum dapat menginformasikan lowongan pekerjaan untuk mencari calon tenaga kerja. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka perlu kiranya dibuat career center di STIKES Telogorejo Semarang berbasis web guna memfasilitasi pertemuan antara kedua belah pihak, baik pencari kerja dan pengguna tenaga kerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimental yang terdiri dari tahap pengumpulan data dan tahap pembangunan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya suatu media informasi tersendiri dimana alumni dapat mencari informasi lowongan pekerjaan dan memilih jenis pekerjaan yang sesuai dengan bakat, minat dan kemampuannya didalam website, pengguna tenaga kerja/perusahaan dapat menginformasikan lowongan pekerjaan untuk mencari calon tenaga kerja lewat media website serta sistem career center berbasis website ini dapat membantu STIKES Telogorejo dalam pengolahan data alumni. ABSTRACK The functions career center at the university to bridge the information needs of the works that are needed by universities. University must be able to facilitate what is works needed with special expertise given to students to become graduates who are able to enter the workforce quickly. At present STIKES Telogorejo does not yet have a separate information delivery media where alumni can search for job vacancies and choose the type of work that suits their talents, interests and abilities, besides that labor users have not been able to inform job openings to look for prospective workers. Based on this background, it is necessary to create a career center in web-based STIKES Telogorejo Semarang to facilitate between job seekers and labor users. The research method used in this study is an experimental method which consists of data collection and development stages. The results of this study are the formation of a separate information media where alumni can find information on job vacancies and choose the type of job that suits their talents, interests and abilities on the website, workforce / company users can inform job to find prospective workers through the media website and This website-based career center system can help STIKES Telogorejo in alumni data processing.
