Abstract

This thesis is explained about Harry Potter Maturity process, maturity in thinking, doing, and facing situations, to control himself and to solve every problem that he has been through. The data of this thesis taken from a novel entitled “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. After reading the novel then the novel to be analyzed by the writer to find out the character and characterization of the main characters, find out kinds of conflicts occurred toward the main characters, and find out the influence of conflicts toward the main characters. The writer uses objective approach to analyze her thesis, because she analyzes the intrinsic aspect of the novel, namely: character, characterization, conflict, and setting. The writer use psychological analysis to analyze her thesis. From the analysis the writer found the characterization’s change, and conflicts which influence Harry Potter’s maturity process, the conflicts namely: internal and external conflicts. Not just conflicts between Harry and himself, but also conflicts between Harry and other in his around. And it makes his character’s change. Finally, the writer chooses “Maturity in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as Psychological Study” as the title of her thesis to analyze. Hope this thesis useful later.
