Abstract

In this thesis the writer wants to analyze the novel with the title "If the Ring Fits" by Melissa McClone. This novel is about romance story of cinderella in the modern era which used a legend of ring in the story, that makes the story more interesting to read for the writer or other teeneagers that have imagination like a princeses or prince. When we read the stories it is truly fairytale of legend of 'ring' that makes two different people and fom different status to be a couple for a life time, Prince Richard and Christina Armstrong are the main actor and main actrees in this novel,this story is about the prince who does not believe of the legend of ring as his tradition in his kingdom. He tries to find a girl that match with him and married that girl without any legend of ring and prove that no legend in his life. But once upon a time his faith about legend become reality, because he was falling in love with Christina that wore the ring, and finally he turn to believe of the legend and married the girl who wear the ring. The writer discusses this novel about the legend of rings in the : setting , character, and also the experience the main actor in this novel, so the writer hope that this thesis to be usefull for all people who are confused by his or her faith existed in the legend were happen or not in our daily life.
